Tips When Placing Packages

Tips When Placing Packages

Here are some helpful guidelines when placing packages:

  1. Every package must be captured and assigned before placing in the room. Each package needs to be placed one at a time.
  2. Place all oversized packages in the designated oversized area.
  3. Place all flats/envelopes in the designated area for envelopes.
  4. Once the package is placed on the shelf, DO NOT MOVE or rearrange it. Before placing packages, keep in mind that additional packages may be added to the shelf.
  5. Do not place packages on top or behind other packages. If it is for the same recipient, you can stack them.
  6. Packages can be close together (a finger spacing).
  7. The label does not have to be facing out.
  8. If you are having trouble placing a package, for example, the system is not accepting the placement, try placing again or change the package type to Flat. This might occur if the package is too small or the package is flat.
  9. After placing a package on a shelf, you may receive a placement error. If you do receive this message, you can touch PACKAGE OVERHANG to let the system know you are OK with this placement.
  10. Always listen to the audio instructions.
  11.  When you have completed delivering packages, place the device back in the cradle and you should always close the door.
