Picking up a Package (Recipient or Staff)

  1. At the Smart Package Room kiosk, the Welcome screen appears, the system recognizes a presence and automatically takes you to the sign-in screen, or you can Touch to BeginThe Sign-in screen displays.
  2. Scan your QR Code in the upper-middle of the kiosk screen (see arrow). Or, enter the 6-digit PIN you received from the Email notification.
    1. Use the QR code image on the kiosk screen to line up the QR code on the phone. Keeping the phone straight, not at an angle.
    2. As a Staff member, if you scan your Key Fob on the right-side, the Main Menu screen appears. Touch Pickup.
    3. The screen will display how many packages you have awaiting pickup.
    4. The system displays a map of the room and indicates where the package(s) are located within the room.
    5. The door will unlock. 
  3. Enter the room and head towards the shelf indicated on the Room Map. The blinking blue light above indicates the general area across from where the package is located. A red laser points with a circular motion on the package. Listen to the audio instructions. 
  4. Pick up your package and move away from the shelf.
    1. The overhead light changes to green if the package has been picked up correctly.
    2. The system informs the recipient if there are additional packages to pick up by announcing through audio and pointing to the next package. If there is more than one package to pick up, listen to the audio to instruct them when and where to pick up the next package.
    3. When complete, the system informs that they have successfully picked up all packages.
  5. Exit the room and close the door.
  6.  If there are other packages to pick up in other rooms, they will need to scan their QR code or enter their PIN again at the next room.
Note: Recipients should NOT move packages around trying to find their package. If they can’t find their package, they should reach out to onsite Staff for assistance.
Note: If the system doesn’t recognize that a package is picked up, touch Confirm Pickup to clear the package from the system. This sometimes occurs when picking up Non-Standard packages (oversized, envelope).
Note: If closing the door doesn’t end the session, touch End Pickup. This might occur when there are automatic door closures. End Pickup can also be used to end the session early, if needed.
