Capturing and Placing a Package Using the MobileKiosk™
- Scan your Key
Card/KeyFob.
- For couriers only, a dialog appears that asks them to acknowledge that
they understand they need to scan every package into the package room
system. Touch I Acknowledge.
- The door unlocks, enter the room to begin capturing.
- The kiosk will display
“Delivery in progress. Please wait outside.” to inform any other users that the
room is in use.
- Dollies or carts holding packages should not be parked
in front of the shelves where packages are placed.
- Follow the guiding sound to locate the MobileKiosk inside the room.
- The sound stops as soon as
the MobileKiosk becomes active (picked up, tap on screen, etc.).
- The MobileKiosk screen may appear dark, but once picked up from the cradle, the screen will brighten.
- Pick up the MobileKiosk from the cradle.
- Position the screen over the entire label, then touch Tap to Capture.
- The barcode
and address are captured, and the system displays a brief image of the captured
label.
- If presented with a list of names, tap the recipient.
- If the system cannot locate the recipient, use the Search bar to find them manually.
- Tap the type of package being delivered: Standard, Flat,
Oversized, Dry Cleaning, etc.
- If you would like to add a signature upon pickup or indicate that the
package is perishable, tap Add Notes and select the appropriate note.
Place the package in the appropriate area: on the shelf, in the Envelope bins, in the Oversized area, etc.
When finished with your deliveries, place the device in the cradle, then exit the room and close the door.

Note: If you selected Standard package as the type, a
short-animated video displays on the screen which highlights how to place a package on the shelf.
